Upgrade the SuiteServer database

Warning: Take full backups of the existing SuiteServer and CrudeSync databases.
This is a precautionary step to protect against data loss during the upgrade process. Database snapshots can be used here if you are comfortable with the technology, however this document does not cover that scenario.
You may also have a CSImport database. This is no longer needed in this release, but you may want to take a backup in case you need to roll back to a previous version.

  1. In the \Web\SpiralSuite\DataLayer\<DataLayerFolder>\Release folder, run the following command with elevated privileges:

    .\DataLayerServerUpgrade.exe UI

  2. Configure the options as detailed below, replacing <values> accordingly:

    • Server Instance: <ServerName>\<InstanceName>

    • Database Name: SuiteServer

Note: If your user account is not mapped as dbo on the SuiteServer database, clear the Use Integrated Security check box and enter the appropriate SQL Login credentials.

  3. In the Database Schema section, select Server.

  4. Ensure the Backup existing database and Recreate Database are not selected.

  5. Once all settings have been entered and confirmed, click Upgrade to begin.

  6. Close the SpiralSuite Server Database Manager.
