Upgrade the DataLayer

Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

Expand Default Web Site and right-click the DataLayer application.

Select Manage Application and click Advanced Settings.

Modify the Physical Path attribute to point at the new DataLayer installation folder (assumed to be D:\Web\SpiralSuite\DataLayer\<NewDataLayer>\NETCore).

Back in the home screen of the DataLayer application, double click Authentication. Make sure Windows Authentication is the only enabled option.

Copy the appSettings.Production.json file from the previous installation and make updates if needed. If your previous installation does not include this file, create a new one as described in Install DataLayer Server.

Start the DataLayer application pool.
