Transfer Project Design Area Data to AVEVA Engineering

Project design area data can be transferred to AVEVA Engineering via the AVEVA Integration Service.

Navigate to the AVEVA P&ID project folder. For example:
<<Drive>>: \Users\Public\Documents\AVEVA\AVEVA P&ID\12.2.SP2\Projects

Create a new pid.prjx file for each area.

Navigate to the AVEVA P&ID Reports Service folder to setup login access for the AVEVA Integration Service interface. For example:
<<Drive>>: \Program Files\AVEVA\P&ID 12.2.SP2\Aveva P&ID Reports Service

Launch the AVEVA.PID.ServiceEditor.exe to display the PIDReportDataWinServiceSettings dialog.

Click Add and select the prjx files for the required databases.

Click Save All.

Launch the AVEVA Integration Service to display the AIS Integration Settings Editor dialog.

Select AVEVA P&ID from the Select Product drop-down list.

Click Add Configuration to display the AVEVA P&ID Data-Source Details dialog.

Select the projects and click Add Projects.

Launch the Engineer module of AVEVA Engineering.

Navigate to the Compare/Update utility and create area configurations for the different databases using the Manage Configurations and Group dialog.

Select the configuration for the area (for example, Area 05) and select at least one grid record.

Click Update Database.

Select the configuration for the area (for example, Area 12) and select at least one grid record.

Click Update Database.
