Export and Import tables from one Database to another (for Datasets)

Export Tables

If drawings have any datasets, export them as Excel files (these tables can be used in another project).

Open the main database (e.g.-IPE). All the datasets have 'DATA_SET_' in their names:

Right-click on the project and select Export Data.

The SQL Server Import and Export Wizard is then displayed:

Click Next.

Click Next.

Select Microsoft Excel in the Destination field. Specify the Excel file path in the field provided.

Click Next.

Select Copy data from one or more tables or views.

Click Next.

Select the required Datasets.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Select Run immediately.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

The selected datasets are then copied as specified.

When the process is complete, close the Wizard dialog.

Import Tables

To import tables into another database, right-click on the project and select Import Data.

The SQL Server Import and Export Wizard is then displayed:

Click Next.

Select Microsoft Excel in the Data source field. Specify the Excel file path in the field provided.

Click Next.

Make sure that the Server name and Database name are correct.

Click Next.

Select Copy data from one or more tables or views.

Click Next.

Select the source tables. Only select those that do not have a $ at the end of their names.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Select Run immediately.

Click Next, then click Finish to complete the procedure.

The tables are then copied from the source to the destination project. For example:
