Pipes and Symbols

AVEVA P&ID supports an unlimited number of project defined pipe styles. The product ships with defaults of Main, Subsidiary and Process Link defined. In the in the Pipeline group of the Home tab the pipe style can be selected independent of the create pipe or link options. This means that both pipes and links can be created using any of the pipe styles. Users must make sure that any branches that need labelling are created with the Draw Pipeline option.

Symbols

All symbols consist of AutoCAD blocks, and the available categories are:

• Instruments (balloons)

• Miscellaneous

• Assemblies Non-AVEVA P&ID blocks
