If complex line types, such as signal lines, lines with shapes in them etc. are to be exported to an ISO15926 file, the following procedure must first be followed.
An environmental variable must be added to the user’s PC. The value of the variable must contain:
-
AutoCAD Font folder path
-
AutoCAD Support folder path
-
Bin folder path present in the P&ID installation directory
For example:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2025\Fonts;C:\Program Files\
Autodesk\AutoCAD 2025\UserDataCache\en-us\Support;D:\
Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\P&ID 12.2.SP3\Install\AutoCad\Bin;
To add the environment variable, proceed as follows:
-
In the Control Panel, select the System and Security category, then click System.
-
The following window is then displayed. Click Advanced System Settings.

-
The System Properties dialog is then displayed. Click Environment Variables.

-
The Environment Variables dialog is then displayed. Click New under the System Variables list.

-
Add the variable name and required paths, and then click OK and finish the process.
