Any errors and warnings issued when drawings are synchronised, refer to Export Data to a P&ID Reports Database, can be viewed in the P&ID Data Grid. They can also be added to drawings if required.
Note: The errors and warnings that can be viewed are those generated by the current version of the synchronisation utility. Those generated by the legacy version cannot be viewed using the P&ID Data Grid (and are added to drawings automatically).
Under the AVEVA P&ID Database node there is an Errors and Warnings sub-node. Under this node, two further nodes are located.

Select the Errors node to view all the errors that have been generated when project drawings were synchronized. Click the Warnings node to view all the warnings:

The grid displays the identities of the drawings, details of the items that are the subjects of the errors and warnings, and the text of the error and warning messages.
To add an error or warning message to the drawing, right-click on it and select the Show Warning or Show Error option from the menu that is then displayed:

The message is then added to the appropriate item in the drawing. For example:

To add all messages displayed in the grid to all the items in question, select the Show All Warnings or Show All Errors option.
Reset Error and Warning Messages
The types of messages to be listed in the P&ID Data Grid and displayed on drawings can be filtered. The user may set specific types of message to be "ignored". The next time drawings are synchronised, those messages will no longer be displayed either in the grid or on the drawings.
To filter error and warning messages, select this button above the grid:
. The Reset Error/Warning(s) dialog is then displayed:

By default, the dialog lists all the different types of errors and warning messages listed in the P&ID Data Grid. It does not list duplicated messages. For example, in the image above, warnings 6 and 7 are not displayed. This is because, as can be seen in the P&ID Data Grid, they are the same message as message 5, "Equipment item without tag letters":

To display all messages, including duplicates, check the Show all Error/Warning(s) checkbox.
Uncheck the Show all Error/Warning(s) checkbox to reset the dialog to only list the first messages of duplicated message types again.
To set a message type so that it is filtered out and not displayed in the P&ID Data Grid or on drawings, select "Ignored" from the drop-down list in the Status column.

All messages of the same type will be subject to the same filtering. So in the example above, all "Equipment item without tag letters" messages will be filtered out.
To set an individual message so that it is filtered out and not displayed in the P&ID Data Grid or on drawings, select "Ignore Once" from the drop-down list in the Status column.

Only the selected message will be filtered.
For message types already set to "ignored"or "ignore once", to set them so that it they are no longer filtered out, select the blank entry from the Status drop down list (for example, so that the field is left blank).
When all the required settings have been made, select Save.
The next time drawings are synchronized, those messages types set to be "Ignored" will no longer be displayed either in the grid or on the drawings. Message types set to blank will be displayed.
