Update Symbol Descriptions

Changes to drawings resulting from symbol descriptions being changed in the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program are not automatically implemented when project drawings are loaded. The user must trigger these changes "manually" in each drawing after it has loaded using this procedure.

Associated Project Configuration Options

Symbol descriptions are set in the Symbols Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.

Procedure

Select the Refresh Symbol Description option in the AVEVA P&ID group of the Home tab. The descriptions of symbols on the drawing are then updated to reflect the current symbol descriptions set in the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.
