Produce Excel Spreadsheet Reports

AVEVA P&ID Reports produces reports in the form of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

A report spreadsheet can be produced using one of the following methods:

• By exporting directly from the grid, for example, from the data as it is displayed in the tabs. The user can select which tabs data is to be exported from. A separate report sheet in the spreadsheet will display the contents of each selected tab. If any filtering, sorting, grouping etc has been applied, this will be reflected in the spreadsheet. Refer to Create Reports and Export from the Grid.

• By selecting a predefined database query or queries. The query or queries are then applied to the database. The results of the query or queries are then used to produce the report spreadsheet. A separate report sheet in the spreadsheet will display the results of each selected query. Refer to Create Reports with Predefined Queries.

• By selecting from a list of predefined queries on duplicate item, untagged item and lines with no source or destination defined. The results of the query or queries are then used to produce the report spreadsheet. A separate report sheet in the spreadsheet will display the results of each selected query. • Reports can be generated for an entire category of item in the database, such as instruments or equipment, using a template specific to the item category. Refer to Create Reports for Multiple Items with Item Category Specific Templates.

• Reports can be generated for a single item in the database, using a template specific to the item category. Refer to Create Reports for Single Items with Item Category Specific Templates.

• A report listing details of all main pipelines in the database can be quickly generated. Refer to Create a Main Pipeline Report.
