Example of Instrument Type Letter List of Values assigned to AVEVA Engineering Classes

The Instrument Type Letter list of values can be assigned to AVEVA Engineering conceptual model instrument classes. The Instrument Type Letter list of values is located in List of Values Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.

In the example, Instrument Type Letter PT is assigned to the Differential Pressure Transmitter class using the Select Class dialog.

The Engineering Component Class URI column is populated with the value from the AVEVA Engineering conceptual model.

The URI value is stored in the URICLASSNAME column of the P&ID Data Grid, this information can be transferred to AVEVA Engineering from the AVEVA P&ID reports database using the compare and update facility.
