Draw Drain Pipes

The facilities of the Pipeline Group of the Home Tab are used to draw drain pipes, refer to Draw Drain Pipes.
The default settings for “normal” pipes are also applied to drain pipes, and drain pipe styles are selected and changed in the same way as for normal pipes. Refer to Draw Pipes and Process Links.
Drain pipe continuation symbols may also be added to drawings, to indicate the flow and direction (through, down and in, down and out, up and in, or up and out), refer to Draw Drain Pipes.
The drain pipe continuation symbol is specified using the Pipes - Drain Pipe Sub Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.
Drain Pipe Drawing Facilities
The following facilities are also provided to help in drawing drain pipes:

The pipe style of an existing drain pipe can also be changed using facilities in the Pipeline group of the Home tab, refer to Change Pipe Styles.

Tracing can be applied to existing drain pipes using an option in the Pipeline group of the Home tab, refer to Trace Lines.

Flow direction can be applied to existing drain pipes using an option in the Pipeline group of the Home tab, refer to Indicate Pipe Flow.

A part of a drain pipe may be split off as a branch of that drainpipe, refer to Split off Branches.

Drain pipes can be converted into branches and branches converted into drain pipes, refer to Change Pipes to Branches and Branches to Pipes.

Drain pipe segments may be added, merged and deleted (see Add Pipe and Signal Line Segments, Add Pipe Segments from any Point, Merge Pipe Segments and Delete Pipe and Signal Line Segments).

The length of a drain pipe may be changed, refer to Change the Length of Lines.
