Import Revisions

Drawing revisions may be made available to AVEVA P&ID Document Manager by using the facilities of the main AVEVA P&ID application, refer to Issue a Drawing for Document Manager and Issue Batches of Drawings for Document Manager.

This can also be achieved by "importing" them into Document Manager.

Select the Import option from the Home tab. The Select Files to Import dialog is then displayed:

Select the drawings to import by checking the checkboxes next to their names. If all drawings in a folder are to be imported, check the checkbox next to the folder name.

Select OK. If any of the selected drawings are already present in Document Manager, a message will be displayed to inform the user of this:

The message will list the drawings in question. Click Yes to overwrite the drawings.

When the import is completed following message is displayed:

The imported drawing details are then available for viewing in the Audit Trail tab, refer to View Revision Details.

Note: Only WORKING document records are generated by an import.

Note: The drawing history and revision number of drawings imported from a different project are deleted during import.
