Change Main Pipe Destination to that of a Branch Pipe

This procedure can be used to change the pipe destination of a main pipe to that of one of its branch pipes. The destination of the selected branch will then also be set as the destination of the main pipe and listed as such, for example, in AVEVA P&ID Reports.

This procedure is also used to change the main pipe destination from on branch pipe to another branch pipe, and to change it back to that of the main pipe.

Procedure

1. Complete the procedure by selecting the destination node of the branch pipe on The Drawing Page, then selecting Override Destination from the shortcut menu.

   

   The destination of the selected branch, for example, the node or the connected equipment/nozzle, will then also "override" the destination of the main pipe.

2. To switch the main pipe destination to that of a different branch pipe, simply complete the above procedure with that branch pipe destination node selected.

3. To change the main pipe destination back to it’s own original destination, complete the procedure with the main pipe destination node selected.
