Update Drawing Grids

Changes resulting from the drawing grids of the default drawing template being changed in the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program are not automatically implemented in existing project drawings when they are loaded. The user must trigger these changes "manually" in each drawing after it has loaded using this procedure.

This procedure is not required for new drawings.

Drawing grids are defined in the Drawing - Grid Sub-Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.

Procedure

Note: Before carrying out this procedure, the revised default drawing template must be exported from the Drawing - Grid Sub-Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program using the Export All Grids facility, so that it overwrites the existing default template.

1. Manually delete the existing template from the drawing.

2. Select the Refresh Grid Settings option in the AVEVA P&ID group of the Home tab. The grid settings of the drawing are then updated to reflect those set in the updated default template.
