Set up Reducer and Line Fittings as P&ID Generic Line Fittings (VPO) to use under Code Rule Validation
Code Rule functionality (refer to Spec Driven Configuration Category - Code Rule Sub-Category for details) can be applied to reducers and line fittings. This is achieved by the setting the P&ID Type of the reducer and line fitting symbols in the Symbols Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration Program to "VPO" (Generic Pipe Components).
For example:

These symbols can then be selected from the Item list in the Insert Code Rule window, used for creating code rules.

This enables users to set up code rules that are applicable to these types of symbols/items.

For example, in the above example three code rules have been added for inlet and outlet sizes of 100 and 200, and a Specification of AIA for the GENERIC REDUCER item.
These three codes are therefore available in the Code dropdown list for GENERIC REDUCER items inserted into Pipes which satisfy these rule conditions.
