As of AVEVA P&ID 12.2.SP1, enhanced label types for split pipe labels are provided. These new label types enable the format (colour, height, style, etc.) of different parts of split labels to be individually defined at a project level using the Label Types Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administrator.
The labels are upgraded, for example, replaced with the new label types, on a drawing-by-drawing basis.
-
To upgrade the split pipe labels for a drawing, open the drawing and enter the UPGRADESPLITPIPEANNOTATION at the command prompt.
-
The command prompt will then display:

-
Select the split pipe labels to be upgraded (or select all). The command prompt will then display:

-
Specify whether the upper or lower parts of the selected split part labels are to be upgraded.
-
The upgrade will then take place. The command prompt will display the number of labels successfully upgraded.
-
Repeat the procedure for either the upper or lower parts of the selected split part labels, for example, whichever was not selected the first time.
Labels are replaced by the upgrade as follows:
-
Upper XPI and XBI labels will be upgraded to XPO or XBO labels.
-
Lower XPI and XBI labels will be upgraded to XPT or XBT labels.
Note: If split pipe label upgrade procedure is not carried out, the Update Split Pipe Label Formatting procedure will not work as expected.
