Datasets can be used for Auto Tagging valves. In order to do this, the user first needs to create a dataset.

The user can create the dataset by clicking Create Dataset Property on the Valves - Automatic Tag Format Sub-Category and then providing the attribute name.

This will then be available in Available Data Properties section. Select the dataset from the list and click on Insert Property to add this dataset to the Tag Expression for Auto Naming.

The user also needs to provide the Valve Tag range min-max values in the Drawing - Drawing List Sub-Category, if the Auto Naming counter is based on drawings that valves are in. For Project based Auto Naming this step is not required.

Open the AVEVA P&ID Application and in the Properties dialog for a valve, set the value for the dataset. After clicking OK the valve tag will be displayed as per the tag expression set in the Project Administrator and so will include the dataset.
