Remove Duplicated Attributes generated by Data Modelling

Remove Duplicated Attributes generated by Data Modelling

A common error with project data modelling occurs when duplicated attributes are created that are associated with class items or symbols based on user defined dataset criteria.

Creating duplicated attributes in the database schema results in slowing of the application, and can prevent the export of data to the reporting database when the number of columns allocated to table exceeds 1024.

To remove duplicated attributes and reduce the possibility of creating a table that exceeds the maximum number of columns per table, setup the user directive:

USER_MERGE_SYNCH_DUPLICATED_ATTRIBUTES_EQUIP=YES

AVEVA recommends reducing the number of unnecessary attributes associated with the dataset, and revising the dataset criteria to make sure duplicated attributes will not be assigned to reporting tables.
