The Plant and Marine Integration Configuration Category is configured using the main Plant and Marine Integration Category pane and the Engineering Settings sub-category:

The application pane is divided into the following sections.

Integration Service Configuration Section

In the Server Name field, enter the name of the server on which AVEVA Integration Service is installed. The default entry in this field is "localhost". However, if the AVEVA Integration Service is located on a remote server, this may be edited as required.

In the Port# field, enter the port number which is configured for AVEVA Integration Service on the selected server. The default value is "8083". Change this as required.

The Integration Service Path field is read-only, and displays the path to the AVEVA Integration Service, as derived from the entries in the Server Name and Port# fields.

To test the connection to the service, click Test Service. If the connection is successful, the following message is displayed.

If not, a "Service failed" message is displayed.

Plant and Marine Integration Section

Note: Configuration is also required in PDMS Schematics to set up the interface between AVEVA P&ID and PDMS Schematics. Refer to Set up PDMS Schematics to Connect with P&ID for details.

In the Schematic Model Manager Drawing Input Path field, specify the path for the shared drawings.

Engineering Integration Section

This section is used to set up a valid Engineering data source for integration with AVEVA P&ID.

Note: Configuration is also required in AVEVA Engineering and using the AVEVA Reports service to set up the interface between AVEVA P&ID and AVEVA Engineering. Refer to Set up AVEVA P&ID to Connect with AVEVA Engineering and Integration with AVEVA Engineering: Setup and Import Procedures in AVEVA Engineering for details.

Select an Engineering Data Source

The Set button is used to select a valid Engineering data source for integration with AVEVA P&ID. When the button is selected, the Engineering Database Login dialog is displayed:

Click Get Available Data. The list of data source types configured in the Integration Settings Editor (AIS Component) will then be displayed in the Select Data Source Type list.

Note: Refer to the AVEVA Integration Service User Guide for information on the setting up of data sources.

Select the required source type from the list. The dialog will then display the list of sources of available of that type.

Click on the required source to select it.

In order to connect to the select source, a valid username and password must be supplied (one that can be used to login to it). Enter the required details in the UserName and Password fields, and then click Validate User. A message will then be displayed to inform the user as to whether the entered details are valid or not.

To test the connection to the data source, click Test Data Source. A message will then be displayed to inform the user as to whether the connection has been successfully made or not.

Click OK to close the dialog and save the data source settings. Details of the source selection will then be displayed in the field next to the Set button:

Change Data Source

To change the specified data source, click Reset and then proceed as described above.

Login Details to Access Engineering Class Picker

This section is used to setup and save an engineering class value and URI to project schema loaded from the class picker. This can be used to populate symbol item classifications from the symbol grid, equipment type list of values, instrument type list of values or component class URI found on the symbol mapping window and object mapping window.

Select a Schematics Model Manager Version

The Set button is used to select a valid Schematics Model Manager data source for integration with AVEVA P&ID. When the button is selected, the following dialog is displayed:

The data source products are displayed in the Products list. Select the required data source from the list.

The Path field is used to specify the installation path of the integrated product. Input, or navigate to, a valid installation path.

The Bat File field is used to specify the location of the evars.bat file for the integrated product. Input, or navigate to, a valid path.

To populate the Project, User and MDB lists, click Get Projects. If the connection is not successful, the following message is displayed.

The available projects are displayed in the Project list. Select a project.

The available users are available in the User list. Select a user.

Input a valid password in the Password field.

The available databases are displayed in the MDB list. Select a database.

Click Login to close the dialog and save the data source settings. Details of the source selection will then be displayed in the field next to the Set button:

Change Data Source

To change the specified data source, click Reset and then proceed as described above.

Refresh Engineering Class Picker Data

To reload the Engineering class picker data, click Refresh.

If the AVEVA Engineering Database node is not to be displayed in the P&ID Data Grid, check the Hide Engineering Node in P&ID checkbox.
