The behaviour of AVEVA P&ID symbols and intelligent lines is defined by an internal 3 digit code set in the project at the following AVEVA P&ID Project Administration Program locations:

  • Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE) Symbols catalogue grid section: Item types allocated to project symbols are defined in the column: P&ID Type.

  • Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE) Item Types section: This section defines P&ID types available in the application excluding text annotations.

It is divided in two sub sections:

    • Standard:

This section contains item type definition that set behaviour of symbols and pipelines.

    • Signal:

This section contains definition of item types that set behaviour of signal lines.

  • Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE) Label Type section: This section contains item type definition for all intelligent text annotations.

Refer to AVEVA P&ID Item Types and Label Types for the list of AVEVA P&ID types.
