Compare/Update Tab

The Compare/Update tab is used to create and edit configurations and configuration groups for the Compare/Update facility. At least one configuration must be setup and be available for selection before the facility is used.

Configurations can be grouped into configuration groups. This enables users to compare/update using multiple configurations at the same time.

The Compare/Update facility in AVEVA P&ID Reports can compare and update data either from other locally installed AVEVA applications and Excel spreadsheets, or data provided by a service from another AVEVA P&ID project, or an Excel spreadsheet. Both local and service configurations can be set up using this tab.

Note: In order for Excel to be used as a source of data, the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components (AccessDatabaseEngine.exe) must be installed.
