Display List of Documents Associated with an Item

To display the Associated Documents window, if it is not already open, select the Browse option in the Context group of the AIM tab.
To view the documents associated with an item, select it on the drawing. The tag number of the item is displayed at the top of the Associated Documents window. If the Auto Tracking option is enabled, refer to Associated Documents Window Configuration Options), the list of associated documents is then displayed.
If not, click Search
to the right of the tag number field to display the list.

Note: The search parameters for items are setup using the Design In Context Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.
Note: In order for the documents associated for an item to be searched for in AVEVA Asset Information Management (AVEVA AIM), the appropriate mapping must be set up between AVEVA P&ID and AVEVA AIM tags using the Attribute Mapping facility. This is accessed from the Mappings Sub-Category of the AVEVA AIM Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.
Depending on the search parameters, the documents associated with the process owner of the selected item may also be displayed, such as the vessel that a nozzle is attached to. If this is the case, the tag number field will display both tag numbers. For example:

The tag number of the process owner will be followed by that of the selected item, separated by a delimiter.
Note: The delimiter is specified in the Settings Sub-Category of the AVEVA AIM Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program.
Documents are grouped either by their document type or their tag. Refer to Associated Documents Window Configuration Options.
The total number of associated documents is displayed under the tag number field and buttons.
The document number (tag), document type, date, and (if applicable) revision of each document is shown.
If the star symbol next to the listing of a document is blue, this indicates that the document is a "favourite". Refer to Make Documents Favourites and Display the Favourites List.
Click
to display documents in a list view.
Click
to display documents in a grid view. The grid view displays thumbnails of documents
once they have been viewed. Refer to View a Document.
