The Offsheet Connector Configuration Category is divided into two sub-categories:
Setting Sub-Category

If, when drawings are opened, warnings are to be displayed on them to indicate unconnected Offsheet Connectors, check the Display Warning for disconnected flags checkbox. If the checkbox is checked, such warnings are also issued when drawings are Synchronized.
If the Auto Propagate pipes data across drawings checkbox is checked then modified pipe properties in a drawing are automatically propagated to connected drawings when opening them or navigating to them (if already opened).
Labels Sub-Category

The application pane is divided into the following sections.
Display Label Format
The Display Label Format Fields field is used to select order in which offsheet connector label field are displayed. Fields may appear in a different order from those of the "actual" label.
The Browse button adjacent to the field is used to select the format. On selection of the button, the Display Label Format dialog box is displayed:

Using the drop-down lists, select the order in which the parts of connector fields are to be displayed. If required, enter a delimiter to be displayed between the two label components in the other field.
Click OK. The selected format is then displayed in the Display Label Format Fields field.
If connector fields are to be "fixed", for example, the two parts are to displayed concatenated as single strings that cannot be split on a drawing, check the Fix Label Format checkbox.
Check the Apply Regular Expression for Label checkbox if a regular expression is to be applied to the drawing number component of connector fields.
Enter the required expression in the Regular Expression for Label field. For example, an expression may be entered that limits drawing number label components to a maximum number of characters (e.g. the first six or last five), meaning that characters in a drawing number exceeding this number will not be included in connector labels.
The Advanced Format Options dialog is available from the button adjacent to the field.

To test how the regular expression will be applied in practice, make an entry in the Test Data field of the Test tab, and click Test. A message will be displayed indicating whether or not the test data would be a valid entry.
To directly edit the regular expression, select the Advanced tab. The expression is displayed in the Regular Expression field and may be amended as required. For help on editing Regular Expressions, click on the help link displayed on this tab.
The offsheet connector display label can be set to display the Drawing and Sheet Number fields of the Page Connector Properties dialog using a regular expression.
Input D1-S1 in the Regular Expression field.
-
D1 represents the drawing number
-
S1 represents the sheet number.

If the Drawing and Sheet Number fields of the Page Connector Properties dialog match the format of the regular expression, the drawing number and sheet number is displayed as the offsheet connector display label on the drawing.

Flags Section
The Flags Positioned at field defines the default arrangement of connector flags that are positioned on pipes and signal lines as they are drawn. From the drop down list, select the value that corresponds to the required value (none -0, start only -1, end only -2, or at both ends -3).
Default Offsheet Connector for Pipe End Styles Section
These fields set the default connector flag style (symbol type PFL) for flags positioned at the start and end of pipes and signal lines. Select the symbol type from the drop down lists.
Connector Label Settings Section
This grid is used to specify the default insertion points for the different label types that may be used to label connector flags, relative to the connector symbols they are labelling.
If labels of a type are to be placed in a fixed position, enter Y in the Fix Position field.
Enter the label type positions relative to connector symbols in the X and Y fields.
If required, for the XN1, XN2, XN3, XN4 and XN5 label types, tag expressions defined in a specially set up dataset can be selected for both on and off connector labels in the OnSC Tag and OffSC Tag columns. There are multiple reference values available for selection:

IDNO
Connected page connector symbols will be set with a common numeric ID value assigned automatically by the application. The ID value can be referenced on drawings with text annotations placed at a set distance from either On Page or Off Page connector symbols to facilitate visual navigation of page connectors.

Label_AreaDesc
Annotations will display the description assigned to the piping area attribute in the project administrator list of values. The piping area attribute value is stored at the line list record of the pipeline connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database. It is assumed the project will have a description assigned to all area values used in the project at the corresponding list of values.

Label_EquipDesc
Annotations will display the description assigned to the equipment tag letter attribute in the project administrator list of values. The equipment tag letter attribute value is stored at the line list record of the equipment connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database. It is assumed the project will have a description assigned to all equipment tag letter values used in the project at the corresponding list of values.

Label_EquipSymDesc
Annotations will display the item type (class) assigned to the equipment symbol name in the project administrator symbol catalogue. The item type (class) attribute value is stored at the line list record of the equipment connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database. It is assumed the project will have the item type assigned to all equipment symbol names used in the project at the symbol catalogue grid.

Label_FluidDesc
Annotations will display the description assigned to the piping fluid attribute in the project administrator list of values. The piping fluid attribute value is stored at the line list record of the pipeline connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database. It is assumed the project will have a description assigned to all fluid values used in the project at the corresponding list of values.

Label_From
Annotations will display the from (source) attribute value stored at the line list record of the pipeline connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database.

Label_SpecDesc
Annotations will display the description assigned to the piping specification code attribute in the project administrator list of values. The piping specification code attribute value is stored at the line list record of the pipeline connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database. It is assumed the project will have a description assigned to all specification code values used in the project at the corresponding list of values.

Label_To
Annotations will display the to(destination) attribute value stored at the line list record of the pipeline connected to the continuation piping segment in the reporting database.

Annotations inserted on the drawing that reference an unset value in the database will display using the default annotation rule value, for example, <Table_Column Name>, the text annotation is positioned on the default NON PLOT layer.
Unset annotation values can be hidden from the drawing using the Show Designators with Empty Value project administrator setting. Refer to Miscellaneous Configuration Category.
