Change the Item Types of Symbols in Bulk

It may be necessary to change the item type of every instance of a specific type of symbol on a drawing. This procedure is used to accomplish this without manually changing every symbol on the drawing.

Procedure

1. Start the procedure by entering AVVCHANGESYMBOLTYPE at the Command prompt.

2. The following dialog is then displayed:

   

   Enter the name of the symbol type which is to have its item type changed and click OK.

3. The following dialog is then displayed:

   

   Enter the new item type for the specified symbol type and press OK. All symbol of the entered type on the drawing then have their item type changed as specified.
