The AI Integration Configuration Category is used to specify settings for the integration of AVEVA P&ID and AVEVA Instrumentation. It consists of the AI Settings sub-category:

If the AVEVA Instrumentation node is not to be displayed in the P&ID Data Grid, check the Hide AI Node in P&ID checkbox.
In the Derive Instrument AREA From field, if required, select the AVEVA P&ID Instrument tag field which will be populated with the Area values of instruments imported from AVEVA Instrumentation (AI).
In the Derive Loop AREA from field, if required, select the AVEVA P&ID Loop tag field which will be populated with the Area values of loops imported from AVEVA Instrumentation (AI).
AVEVA Instrumentation Integration Service Configuration Section
In the Server Name field, enter the name of the server on which the AVEVA Integration Service is installed. The default entry in this field is "localhost". However, if the AVEVA Integration Service is located on a remote server, this may be edited as required.
In the Port# field, enter the port number which is configured for the AVEVA Integration Service on the selected server. The default value is "8083". Change this as required.
The Integration Service Path field is read-only, and displays the path to the AVEVA Integration Service, as derived from the entries in the Server Name and Port# fields.
To test the connection to the service, click Test Service. If the connection is successful, the following message is displayed:

If not, a "Service failed" message is displayed.
Select a AVEVA Instrumentation Data Source
The Set button is used to select a valid AVEVA Instrumentation data source for integration with AVEVA P&ID. When the button is selected, the Instrumentation Database Login dialog is displayed:

Click Get Available Data. The AVEVA Instrumentation data source type configured in the Integration Settings Editor (AIS Component) will then be displayed in the Select Data Source Type list.
Note: Refer to the AVEVA Integration Service User Guide for information on the setting up of data sources.
The dialog will then display the list of sources (for example, AVEVA Instrumentation projects) of available of that type.

Click OK to close the dialog and save the data source settings. Details of the source selection will then be displayed in the field next to the Set button:

Change Data Source
To change the specified data source, click Reset and then proceed as described above.
