Indicate Pipe Flow

  • Last UpdatedMar 14, 2024
  • 1 minute read

Flow direction is indicated graphically by flow arrows. These may be placed as a pipe or signal line is being drawn, depending on whether or not automatic flow arrows are on. This is set in the Pipeline group of the Home tab. Changing this setting affects pipes and signal lines drawn subsequently, and any pipe or signal line that is being drawn when the setting is changed.

If arrows need to be added to pipes that have already been drawn, they must be manually inserted (block name ARROWZ - refer to Insert Symbols). At present there is no built-in facility for rotating flow arrows so they must be rotated manually with a Rotate command. Refer to Rotate Drawing Objects. The actual direction of flow is only established when pipe labelling is carried out.
