Enable Security

Security is enabled by default for projects using the Windows and Project Authentication types. It is switched off by default for projects using SQL Server Authentication.To enable security on the current project, click Settings in the left-hand pane and then check the Security Enabled checkbox in the right hand pane:

Uncheck the checkbox to disable security.

Once security is enabled the access rights and restrictions assigned to users in Security are enforced, e.g. users will have access to objects as granted by the Group they belong to.

Note: When a Windows user connects to an AVEVA P&ID application, if that user has not be added to the list of project users in Security Manager before, it is automatically added then.
