Upgrade Items from old Projects

When a project is upgraded from older versions of AVEVA P&ID, specifically versions 6.2 to 7.2, pipes and other items on drawings must be upgraded on a drawing-by-drawing basis.

A revised version of pipe lines that improved the performance and usability of the application considerably was introduced with AVEVA P&ID 7.2 SP3. For projects developed using previous versions of AVEVA P&ID, an upgrade of the pipes on the project drawings is required before the drawings can be used in AVEVA P&ID 7.2 SP3 or AVEVA P&ID 12.0 or later.

When a project is upgraded from an older version of AVEVA P&ID (6.2 to 7.2), Instrument, Reducer and Inline Equipment entities properties must be amended to be compatible with the current version.
