Change the Owner of Items

This procedure is used to change the owner of items. The owners of items of the following types can be changed:

• Sub-Equipment (EQE)

• Nozzles (NOZ)

• Interlocks (LCK)

• Instrument Conditioning Devices (ICD)

• Instrument Handwheels (IHW)

• Line Termination Symbols (LTS)

Procedure

1. Start the procedure by either:

   • selecting the Change Owner option in the Modify group of the Home tab. without selecting an object, or

   • selecting the object on The Drawing Page, then selecting Change Owner from the shortcut menu.

2. If the first method of starting the procedure was followed, the command prompt will display:

   Select Symbol to change Owner:

   Select the object that is to have its owner changed.

   If the second method of starting the procedure was selected, the object will already have been selected.

3. The command prompt will display:

   Indicate Equipment item for association:

   Select a valid item to be the new owner for the item. That item then becomes the new owner for the owned item and the command ends.
