To open the Colouring Utility from AVEVA P&ID, select the Colouring option in the Colouring group of the Manage tab.

To open the Colouring Utility from the AVEVA P&ID Common Launcher, start it by clicking on the AVEVA P&D 12.4 desktop shortcut:

Select the required project from the row of tiles along the top of the screen by clicking on it. Use the arrow buttons < > at each end of the row of these tiles to browse through the list of projects.

Once a project is selected, the launcher will then open a tile displaying the name and description of that project (click the >> button in that tile to return to the list of projects).

If the project is setup to be logged into using SQL Server Security, the SQL user name and password fields are displayed. Enter the user and password. The project server is also displayed.

Test that the entered details are valid by selecting Test Connection. A message will then be displayed indicating whether or not the connection details are valid. For example:

If the test connection is successful, or if the project is setup to be logged into using Windows Integrated Security, the user name and password fields are displayed. The project server is also displayed. The User field includes a list of all project users. Complete these fields as required. Then navigate to the Colouring tile and click on it (use the arrow buttons < > at each end of the row of tiles to browse the list of applications).

The following dialog is then displayed:

Note: To view details of the access rights that each user role grants, refer to AVEVA P&ID documentation.

The list of drawings in the selected project is displayed in the lower part of the window.

This part of the window can be hidden and revealed by clicking Details.
