Document Manager

The AVEVA P&ID Document Manager is used to view and compare revisions of AVEVA P&ID drawings and reports (generated using AVEVA P&ID Reports), which have been saved to the project database. It can also be used to highlight isolated areas their boundaries on drawings and validate drawings in accordance with user-defined rules.

Drawing revisions (minor and major) may be saved to the project database and made available to Document Manager simply by saving them, if the Save to database every time a drawing is saved checkbox on the Document Manager Configuration Category of the AVEVA P&ID Project Administration program is checked.

Alternatively, drawing revisions may be manually be saved ("issued") to the project database at any time. Either by "importing" them into the Document Manager, refer to Import Revisions, or issuing them from the main AVEVA P&ID application,refer to Issue a Drawing for Document Manager and Issue Batches of Drawings for Document Manager.

Reports generated using AVEVA P&ID Reports are issued manually to the database using facilities in AVEVA P&ID Reports.
