Import Drawings

To import a drawing into a project from a Proteus Schema 4.0.1 XML file using the DEXPI import facility, right-click on the project node in the Engineering Explorer and select the Import Drawing from XML option from the menu that is then displayed:

Alternatively, select the ISO 15926 Import option in the AVEVA Integration group of the Manage tab.

The Create an AVEVA P&ID Drawing from Proteus XML file dialog is then displayed:

In the Proteus XML File field, enter the location and filename of the XML drawing file from which drawing is to be imported, or click Browse and browse for the file (see above).

In the AVEVA PID Project Folder field, enter the location of project folder into which the drawing is to be imported, or click Browse and browse for the folder.

When all the import settings have been made, click OK. The import will then proceed, and the drawing added to the AVEVA P&ID project from the XML file.
