Create Assemblies

Assemblies can be created from groups of objects. These are added to the list of Symbols and can then be added to drawings.

Click the Assemblies option and then click on the objects that are to make up the assembly, and press Enter.

The user will then be prompted to enter a name for the assembly:

Type in the name and press Enter.

The AVEVA Symbol Editor is then displayed. Make any required changes to the assembly and click Close Symbol Editor. Refer to AVEVA Symbol Editor for more details.

The new assembly is then added to the list of Symbols under the Assemblies heading, and may be added to drawings like any other symbol in the list.

The list may have to be refreshed before the new assembly appears (e.g. close and re-open the Symbols explorer using the Show/Hide Explorer option).
