Set Incomer and Equipment Datalink Sequence Numbers

The datalink sequence number for incomer and equipment items, for use when generating schematic diagrams, can be set using the Set Datalinks window.

The datalink sequence numbers for equipment can also be set using their Equipment Information windows. Refer to Add Item Symbols to Layout for details. For incomer items, the Set Datalinks window should be used.

To access the window, select Set Datalinks from the toolbar.

Enter the required numbers in the Datalink Sequence fields.

• The datalink sequence numbers of primary loads and supplies are automatically set to 1 and 2 respectively and cannot be edited.

• The sequence numbers must be unique for each equipment and incomer item within the rule (cable datalink sequence numbers are counted separately). If a number is entered which has already been assigned, the following message is displayed:

  

• The equipment number of an item may also be changed in the window by entering and selecting in the Equipment No field. Enter characters and optionally select {TAGNO}, {SUPPLYTAGNO}, {TAGNO}-{SUPPLYTAGNO}, or {SUPPLYTAGNO}-{TAGNO} from the dropdown list as required.
