Designer Drawing Preview and Update Facilities

For KOL and SLD drawings imported from Electrical Engineer (see Import Drawings into the Drawings List) or exported into the Drawings List using Electrical Engineer facilities (refer to Engineer documentation), additional preview and update options are available once a Seed File is selected.

Select the drawing in the Drawings List and click Edit on the Home tab, or double-click on the drawing record in the Drawings List. The Drawing Information window is then displayed.

Once a Seed File is selected and the drawing information is saved, a Preview button is available:

Click Preview. The a preview of the drawing is then opened in a new window with the name of the diagram as its title:

The Seed border, as defined by the extents settings of the selected Seed, is displayed in the diagram as an orange box.

The border can be selected and moved as described below. The diagram can also be rearranged to fit it within the border, and in other ways as required.

Once this has been done, a preview of how the diagram will appear as an AutoCAD drawing can be viewed, and then AutoCAD drawing itself then generated.

Note:
Changes to the preview are not saved when the window is closed.
