Users must form all "to be sized" cables into a group:
-
A single cable group can be created per rule.
-
The group must consist of all the cables on the same "route" between a supply and a load.
-
All these cables must have the same catalogue cable assigned to them (once cables have been grouped, you will not be able to change their catalogue cables).
-
No other cables on the layout can be designated as "to be sized"
To create a cable group:
-
Select all the cables that are to form the group, right-click on any of them, and select Group Power Cables:

-
The Cable Group Information window is then displayed:

-
Enter the group name in the Sizing Group Information field. The name must be unique for the project (it cannot have been used in another rule).
-
Click OK to create the group. The group name is then displayed before the catalogue cable numbers of the grouped cables. For example:

Ungroup Cables
To ungroup cables, right-click on any cable in a group and select the Ungroup Power Cables from the menu that is then displayed.
The following message is then displayed:

Click Yes. The cables are then ungrouped.
