Wiring rules can be assigned to single loads via the Loads grid and via its Load Detail window.

  • To assign a wiring rule to a single load via the Loads grid select the required rule from the drop-down list in the load’s cell in Wiring Rule Name column:

The list consists of all basic wiring rules and all enhanced wiring rules for loads.

  • To assign a wiring rule to a single load via its Load Detail window:

  1. Open the Load Detail window for the load and access the Detail tab.

  2. If a rule has already been assigned, its name will be displayed in the Rule name field. Otherwise the field will be blank.

  3. A different rule may be assigned to overwrite current wiring data by following this procedure (or to re-apply the same rule if it has been edited since it was previously applied).

Click the button next to the Rule name field. The Select Wiring Rule window is then displayed:

  4. Select the type of wiring rule required, Basic or Enhanced, and click OK.

  5. If Basic was selected, the Wiring Rule Definitions window is displayed:

  6. If Enhanced was selected, the Enhanced Wiring Rule Definitions window is displayed:

The window lists the Wiring Rules of the selected type which are applicable to the Load.

  7. To view a graphical representation of the rule, click on its name in the list.

  8. To select a rule, double-click on it or click on it and then click Select. The window then closes and the selected rule name is displayed in the Rule name field in the Load Detail window.
