Claims

If a user attempts to edit an item which is currently being edited by another item, a message is displayed to inform the user that the item is locked. For example:

To unlock an item:

  1. Click Claims in the Multi User section of the Manage Tab. The Claims window is then displayed:

  2. The window lists all current user claims along with the user that claimed them. To unlock a claimed item so that other users can edit it, check the appropriate checkbox under the Object No. heading.

  3. Check the Select All checkbox to check all these checkboxes.

  4. When the required items have been selected, click Unlock.

  5. The selected items can now be edited by other users.

    Note:
    Users that have their claims unlocked can still edit and save changes to the items in question. Multiple users may therefore be working on the same item at the same time. This facility should therefore be used with caution.
