Delete Cables

Delete cables by selecting them from the Cable Schedule grid, then click Delete in the Records section of the Home tab. Multiple cables may be selected for deletion.
If a single cable is selected:

If that cable is frozen or on a locked drum, a message is displayed to inform the user that the cable cannot be deleted.

If the cable can be deleted, a message is then displayed requesting that the deletion of the selected cable(s) be confirm. Click Yes to continue.
If multiple cables are selected, a message is displayed requested that the user confirm that these cables are to be deleted. Click Yes to continue.
A message is displayed to inform the user that frozen cables and cables on locked drums cannot be deleted. Click OK. The cables that can be deleted are then deleted.
Note:
Deleting a cable automatically disconnects all its cores.
A child cable (refer to Create Multiple Cables) cannot be deleted without also deleting its parent cable and vice versa. If a parent or child cable is selected for deletion a message is displayed to inform the user of this:

Click Yes to delete the entire group of cables, or No to cancel the deletion.

To remove a child cable without deleting the parent cable, reduce the number of child cables that the parent cable has in the Number of Cables field of the Cable Details window.
