Before wiring can be created for a load, a wiring rule must be assigned to it. If a rule has been assigned, its name will be displayed in the Rule name field. Refer to Assign a Wiring Rule to Loads for further information.
To create wiring rule to a single load, open the Load Detail window for the load and access the Detail tab.

Click the Create Wiring button.
Note:
When overwriting an existing wiring rule, all data that was created as a result of
the previous wiring rule being applied is deleted and replaced. This includes intermediate
equipment.
This is also the case when the same wiring rule is re-applied. For example, if when
that wiring rule was applied previously, it created intermediate equipment, that equipment
will be deleted and replaced by the intermediate equipment current defined in the
rule, which may have a different tag number, be of a different type, etc.
-
If the selected wiring rule is an enhanced rule that includes secondary supplies, but they have not all been assigned, this message will be displayed:

-
If they have been assigned, but they are not of the type defined in the rule, a different message will be displayed. For example:

Refer to Assign Loads to Supplies for how to allocate supplies to loads.
-
If the selected wiring rule includes equipment items (items between a supply and the load), and if there unassigned items of the equipment type defined in the rule available (items with supply connected), the Select Existing Tag window is displayed:

The window displays the existing items of the specified equipment type. The user can select one of these by clicking on it and then clicking on OK.
Alternately, the user can choose to create a new item of the equipment type by clicking New. When the wiring is created, the new item will also be created and added to the Equipment List. It will be generated with the tag number defined in the wiring rule.
-
The process of creating wiring will then start. If successful, the following message is displayed:

-
If wiring is not successfully created for any reason, and error message will be displayed to inform the user of this. For example:

A different wiring rule may need to be selected.
