Cleartype Effects on Windows 7, 8​.1, 10 and 11

AVEVA Electrical is optimized to use Cleartype effects for fonts in Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Window 11. This feature improves text appearance on most Windows windows. It is suggested that Cleartype effects are selected to enable clearer viewing of text in AVEVA Electrical (and other applications on the desktop).

In Windows 7 and 8.1:

1. Open the Control Panel.

   a. If Control Panel options are being displayed in the "Category" configuration, select Appearance and Personalization and then Display.

   b. If Control Panel options are being displayed in the "Small Icons" or "Large Icons" configuration, select Display.

2. Select Adjust Clear Type Text from the list of options on the right-hand side of the window. The ClearType Text Tuner window is then displayed.

In Windows 10 and 11:

3. Open Settings from the Start Menu.

4. In the Find a Setting field, enter Adjust ClearType text. As you type it in, a list of matching settings will be listed under the field. Adjust ClearType text will be listed. Select this option. The ClearType Text Tuner window is then displayed

   

Check the Turn on ClearType checkbox. Click Next and step through the tuning wizard. Finally, click Finish to implement the changes.
