Preview and Update Drawing

The Designer Drawing Export Viewer window displays a preview of how the diagram will appear as an AutoCAD drawing can be viewed, and provides facilities to create or update the drawing. To access this window, click the Preview button in the Distribution Diagram editing window (see Designer Drawing Preview and Update Facilities and Toolbar Options).

The symbols used in the preview will be the Designer Drawing symbols that have been mapped to the Distribution Diagram symbols in Electrical Engineer, not the Distribution Diagram symbols. If no Designer Drawing symbol mapping has been set up for a Distribution Diagram symbol, a blank space will be displayed instead of it.

Zoom in and out of the drawing using the mouse wheel. Pan around the drawing by holding down any mouse button and dragging the cursor.

The plant area of the diagram is displayed in the Area field. The number of the drawing is displayed in the Drawing No field.

Click Update to create or update the drawing in AutoCAD. A message is then displayed to inform the user than the drawing has been generated, and that the latest saved data was used in this process.
