Create Element Types

To create a new element type:

1. Click on the group that it is to be created in, then click New.

2. From the menu that is then displayed select Type.

3. The Compartment Element Type Details window is then displayed:

   

   The element type group name is displayed at the top of the window.

4. Enter the name of the type in the Type field.

5. In the Caption field enter the text that will represent the type elsewhere in the user interface.

6. Enter a short form, for example, an abbreviation for the type in the Short Name field.

7. Click OK. The new type is then added to the list of types in the selected group in the Compartment Element Groups window.
