Create New Pick List

To create a new pick list:

1. Click New. The PickList Details window is then displayed:

   

2. Enter a unique name for the new pick list in the PickList Name field.

3. From the DataType list, select the data type for the new pick list:

   

4. The default type is Text. All values added to the pick list must be of the selected data type.

5. If a grid cell etc. with which the list is allocated to must be completed using one of the pick list values, check the Locked checkbox. Otherwise leave it unchecked, meaning that other values may be entered in addition to those in the list of values.

   Note:
   If a pick list is assigned to a field in the Grid Manager (refer to Grid Manager), and that field is displayed in a window, the pick list will not be available for that field in the window. If the pick list is locked it will be a read-only field in the window, if it is not locked, it will not be read-only.

6. Click Save to exit the window and save the new pick list.

7. Click Cancel to exit the window without saving the new pick list.
