Import and Export Tag Mappings via CSV

Tag mappings can be imported and exported to and from AVEVA Insight in CSV format.

Import tag mappings

To get started with importing tag mappings from CSV, navigate to the Asset Type list and select the Import Tag Mappings icon .

From here, select Download Sample File to download a copy of the CSV format to your desktop, then open the file and populate it with your tag mappings.

When finished, save your changes, and then drag and drop the CSV file onto the Import Tag Mappings dialog.

Export tag mappings

To export tag mappings for an asset type, select Asset Type Actions from the asset type summary page, then select Export Tag Mappings.

Optionally, select Include only unmapped properties if you wish to omit mapped properties from the export file.

Once exported, AVEVA Insight generates a CSV file that you can save to a location on your local machine. The default file name contains the name of the asset type.
