Synchronize an instantiated alert to an asset instance without tag mapping

An administrator has the following:

  • An asset type with at least one property defined.

  • An Asset 1, Asset 2, and Asset 3 associated with the asset type.

  • Asset 1, Asset 2 have tags mapped to the asset type properties.

  • Asset 3 does not have tags mapped to properties.

An administrator then:

Creates an alert under Asset 1 using a combination of tags mapped to properties under the asset type as well as an additional "global tag" not associated with any asset type definition.

These conditions result in:

  • The source alert is created.

  • An instantiated alert is created for Asset 2.

    • No instantiated alert is created for Asset 3 because it does not have a tag to property mapping.
