Delete an instantiated alert

Only Administrators can delete instantiated alerts. To delete an instantiated alert, you must delete the source alert.

To delete an instantiated alert

  1. From the Alerts list showing source alerts and instantiated alerts, select the instantiated alert you want to delete, then select Go To Asset Type.

    The asset type to which the alert asset is associated displays, with the source alert listed under associated items.

  2. From the actions menu for the source alert, select Remove from asset type.

The source alert becomes a unique alert. It is not associated with the asset type, and no longer has the asset name as a prefix in its name.

The instantiated alerts are deleted from the system.
