Drag and drop CSV/JSON files

AVEVA Insight provides a simple drag-and-drop interface for CSV and JSON data and metadata files.

Before you can use it, be sure to:

• Define a CSV/JSON data source

• Create the data file or create the metadata file that you want to upload

  Note: By default, overwriting values is allowed when you use this method. Therefore, be sure to check the timestamps that you use in your CSV or JSON file. If you use date and time that matches those for an existing value in the system, the existing value will be overwritten by the value from your file.

To upload a CSV or JSON data or metadata file using a bearer token

1. Select Administration from the navigation rail.

2. Select Data Sources.

   

3. To the right of the data source name, select and then select Upload data or metadata.

4. The Upload dialog displays next. Drag and drop your file in the target area.
