To search for assets, data, or content, select the search button
from the application bar, or select the search box on the default home page.

You can search by name, by filter, or both.
AVEVA Insight search supports certain search operators:
-
Use double quotation marks around an item to force an exact-match search.
"search term"
-
Use OR in your search to return results for either provided item
item1 OR item2
Note: The number of search results returned and the count listed in the the filter panel may be inconsistent. This occurs when there are too many results. When you select a filter, the number of results for that filter updates to the correct number.
Interact with search results
The options for interacting with search results vary depending on the entity type:
-
Assets:
-
Select one asset to view its details on the asset details page.
-
Select multiple assets, then select Display List to open the Asset List page.
-
-
Data Tags: Select one or more items, then select Create New Content to create a status board with those items.
-
Saved Content:
-
Select one content item to open it.
-
Select multiple items, then select Create Dashboard to create a dashboard with the selected content.
-
Use search to add data to existing content
If you are editing or creating a visual or dashboard, you can add content to it from search.
-
On the edit page for a visual or dashboard, select the search button
from the application bar.
-
Find data that is compatible with the current content, and select the checkbox for the items you wish to add. For example:
-
If you are editing a dashboard, select saved content.
-
If you are editing an XY plot visual, select data tags.
-
-
Select the Add To <Content Type> button to add the data to your content. If that button doesn't appear, you may have selected content that isn't compatible with your dashboard or visual, or you are editing a visual that doesn't allow for multiple data sources.
