An administrator has the following:

  • An asset type with at least one property defined.

  • An Asset 1, Asset 2, and Asset 3 associated with the asset type.

  • All assets have tags mapped to properties.

  • A source alert associated with asset type.

An administrator then:

  1. Edits the source alert to change an alert parameter such as monitored tags or prescriptive actions.

  2. Saves the changes back to the asset type and all asset instances.

These conditions result in:

The source alert and all instantiated alert definitions are updated with the changes.
